The Seventh Ray, Book I, The Blue Ray is an occasional journal of the Church of the Hermetic Sciences and its religious-fraternal order, the Ordo Templi Astartes. It is a large format, trade quality paperback with articles and features relating to Western Magick and occultism. The journal is profusely illustrated and bound in parchment board.

This is the first issue of the all new Seventh Ray Journal (the original Seventh Ray was an underground periodical from the early 1970s in pamphlet form). This new 117 page trade-quality, parchment-bound book features the first publication of W. Wynn Westcott's seminal Enochian work "Book H", which is presented as the last great secret document of The Golden Dawn. Taken from a 17th century MS., Book H includes the WatchTower Tablets that were the original basis of the G.D. s Enochian magical system. A commentary, with facsimiles of the ancient MSS., is appended. Also featured is "Divine Pneumata" by Hal von Hofe, Ph. D. This is said to be first publication of the Sabian Planetary invocation system from the medieval Arabian grimoire Picatrix. This article presents seven planetary rituals, restored and reconstructed. Following this comes Frederick Adams' "Ethers of Aphrodite", an original description of internalized sexual alchemy. Fred is cited as America's foremost pagan Elder Philosopher. His delightful artwork accompanies this article.
